Report on one day seminar on PAKISTAN SCIENTIFIC AND TECHNOLOGICAL INFORMATION CENTRE (PASTIC)
One day seminar on Pakistan Scientific and Technological Information Centre (PASTIC)
was organized by Department of Microbiology and Biotechnology, Abasyn University, Peshawar campus on 22ndFebruary 2017. Seminar was conducted by Ghazalaali, Assistant Director (PASTIC). More than sixtyparticipants including faculty members, MPhil and Master Students of Microbiology attended the seminar.The objective of the seminar was to deliver information about the PASTIC as a leading organization which disseminate scientific and technical information to the Researchers, Engineers, Entrepreneurs, Industry and citizens of Pakistan. She discussed all the services provided by PASTIC in detail including Abstracting and indexing, Document supply, Bibliographic information, Patent information and Entrepreneurship etc. She also had discoursed the online resources available on the website and encouraged the students to gain access and take more and more benefit out of the services of this organization. At the end she entertained all the queries. Such type of seminars will be arranged by the department in future for the students.
