Hamza Blood Donation Camp
On the occasion of world thalassemia day, a blood donation camp was arranged by MLT program with the collaboration of Hamza Foundation at Abasyn University Peshawar. More than 50 students donated whole blood after screening with HCV, HIV, Hbs Ag, VDRL, and proper blood grouping. At the end of free medical camp awareness walk was carried out from Abasyn University to Dalazak Chowk. Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof Dr. Syed Umar Farooq, Head of Department of Microbiology and Biotechnology Dr. Zobia Afsheen, Coordinator MLT Shawkat Ali, Coordinator DPT, Dr. Babar Wardag and Faculty from Life sciences and students participated with full enthusiasm. At the end Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dr. Syed Umar Farooq delivered a speech on the importance of blood donation and thanks to the organizers and Hamza foundation for an arrangement of blood camp.
