Mental Health First Aid

Mental Health First Aid teaches about recovery and resiliency - the belief that individuals experiencing these challenges can and do get better, and use their strengths to stay well. MHFA is designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, peers, neighbors, health and human services workers, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis. In the end of training the chief guest Dr. Syed Umar Farooq Vice Chancellor, Abasyn University Peshawar expressed his views about the importance of mental health treatment. He said timely recognition and treatment of mental health disorders can prevent fatal circumstances like suicidal attempts and psychosis. At the end VC Dr. Syed Umar Farooq presented shields to facilitators and distribute certificates among 35 students of DPT program participated in the training.
